Case Study :: Terramin Australia Limited Angas Zinc Mine

Terramin Australia operate a Zinc mine at Strathalbyn South Australia. Terramin wished to monitor particular areas of their mine for security and OH & S reasons. Power On Solutions was approached to design and deploy a solution to meet their needs.

Power On Solutions utilised IP surveillance cameras from IQ Invision. These cameras were full HD cameras capable of recording very detailed video. Certain areas where setup with cameras capable of capturing faces and number plates in the event identification was necessary following an incident. All cameras had their footage recorded by a Synology DS1111 10TB (TeraByte) NAS> This gave Terramin the ability to store many cameras' footage for up to 30 days.

The cameras are extremely sensitive and can operate in almost complete darkness. Since it's deployment, Terramin have found it useful to identify people or vehicles of interest and it has also enhanced OH & S as staff and contractors
